An electric bike, also called an e-bike, is a bicycle with a rechargeable battery and electric motor. The motor provides extra support while you ride, making hills, headwinds, longer trips, and stop-and-go riding easier.
You can still pedal as you would on a regular bike. The amount of motor support depends on the assist level you select.

An All-Wheel-Drive electric bike uses two motors, with one motor powering each wheel. Compared with a single-motor e-bike, an AWD e-bike delivers stronger power and improved traction.
AWD e-bikes are well suited to steep hills, rough terrain, loose dirt, mud, sand, and snow. Burchda AWD models include the HC26 AWD, Y3 AWD, RX30 AWD, and RX80 AWD.
HC26 AWD: A good choice for riders who want AWD traction, fat tires, and more confidence on hills, uneven roads, sand, snow, or loose terrain.

In many parts of the United States, e-bikes are divided into three classes. Class 1 e-bikes provide pedal assistance up to 20 mph. Class 2 e-bikes can use pedal assist or a throttle up to 20 mph.

Yes. All Burchda electric bikes are UL 2849 certified.
UL 2849 evaluates the e-bike's electrical drive system, battery system, and charger system for electrical and fire safety. Always use the supplied charger, inspect the battery and cables for visible damage, and charge the battery on a dry, non-flammable surface.
Burchda e-bikes have an IPX4 water-resistance rating. They can handle light rain, splashes, and normal wet-road riding.
Do not submerge the bike, ride through deep water, or spray the battery, display, motor, or electrical connections with a high-pressure hose. After riding in wet conditions, wipe down the bike and keep the battery contacts dry.
The terrain you can ride depends on the model. The U8 is suited to city streets, bike paths, and light gravel. The R5 Pro is a suitable option for mixed terrain, unpaved routes, and outdoor riding.
Burchda fat-tire and AWD models, including the HC26 AWD, Y3 AWD, RX30 AWD, and RX80 AWD, are better suited to gravel, sand, snow, dirt roads, loose ground, steep hills, and rougher off-road terrain.
For hunting, the best Burchda e-bike depends on your terrain, route distance, and the gear you need to carry. The RX80 AWD, RX30 AWD, and HC26 AWD are strong options for dirt roads, hills, loose ground, mud, sand, and uneven access routes.
The Y3 AWD is a suitable option for riders who want AWD capability and extended battery capacity for longer trips. Before riding, check local rules for e-bike use on public land, hunting areas, trails, and private property.
Your Burchda e-bike arrives approximately 85% pre-assembled. Most riders can complete the remaining assembly in about 20 minutes using the included tools and video guide.
Before your first ride, make sure the handlebars, pedals, front wheel, lights, and included accessories are installed correctly. Check that all bolts are secure, the tires are properly inflated, the brakes work properly, and the battery is installed securely.
Helmet requirements depend on your state, age, e-bike class, and where you ride. Some areas require helmets for younger riders or Class 3 e-bike riders.
Even when a helmet is not required, wearing a properly fitted bicycle helmet is recommended. It is especially important when riding near traffic, at higher speeds, on wet roads, or on uneven terrain.
